Elizabethan Terrace

Onward Living has this month released over 30 new homes for sale across three developments in the North West.

The Elizabethan Terrace development in Whitefield, Greater Manchester, will offer 15 two and three-bedroom homes for Shared Ownership – all of which are now available to reserve off-plan.

The terraced and semi-detached homes are being built on the site of the former Elizabethan pub on Ribble Drive and are due for completion in May 2020, with a show home set to launch at the end of March.

Sandy Kelly, head of sales at Onward Living, said: “We are delighted to launch these much-needed affordable homes on our exciting new development in Whitefield.

“Elizabethan Terrace is in a great location with access to fantastic schools, great transport links and a variety of shops, bars and restaurants on nearby Bury New Road – making it the perfect place to call home.

“We’ve already had a huge amount of interest in these homes and expect them to be snapped up quickly, so we recommend that prospective buyers register their interest sooner rather than later to avoid missing out.”

Meanwhile, 12 one and two-bedroom apartments have been released for sale in Aigburth, Liverpool.

The stylish apartments are available for Shared Ownership, with prices starting from £50,000 for a 40% share – offering a desirable L17 postcode without the price tag.

This latest launch follows the success of Onward Living’s Clifton Gardens development on nearby Colebrooke Road, where 20 people have already purchased and moved in.

Sandy Kelly said: “Following the popularity of our homes at Clifton Gardens, we’re looking forward to showcasing our latest apartments to home-hunters in the area. With the combination of a fantastic location and the high specification finish of these stylish homes, we’re confident they won’t be disappointed.”

The Clifton Place development is due for completion in April, when a show home will also be launched.

Completing the trio of sought-after new Onward Living developments is Willow Green in Scarisbrick, West Lancashire.

Situated on Southport Road, the exclusive development of just four semi-detached three-bedroom homes are priced at £68,250 for a 35% share. Due for completion this spring, they are available to reserve right now.

Sandy Kelly added: “With picturesque countryside right on your doorstep and an easy commute to Ormskirk, Southport and Liverpool, we’re sure this location will be a big hit with buyers.”

All the homes are available for Shared Ownership, which allows you to buy a percentage (between 25% and 75%) of your new home, and pay rent on the rest. Onward Living owns part of it — but you’re living there, you decorate it, and you decide when to sell.

Buying a percentage means a smaller deposit and smaller mortgage. It’s a sooner first step on the ladder for lots of people. Usually, you can also carry on buying shares, to own it 100%.

These latest developments come as part of Onward’s ambitious plans to step up its output across the region, with more homes currently being built in Wirral, Runcorn and Cheshire, including a landmark 447-home site in Crewe.
